I like the cinema because… it is an extremely attractive medium. It is a combination of pictures, words and music. It is fantastic that I can compare the way I imagine a book I have read, such as The World According to Garp, The Lord of the Rings by Tolkien or Harry Potter, with screen adaptations made by famous directors. I love the cinema because of its unlimited possibilities of creating worlds from imagination. In the cinema everything is possible: you can bring into being fairytale creatures, Jurassic dinosaurs or an E.T. from a distant planet. Thanks to the cinema I can also travel round the real world - at one moment I can be in the Tibetan Mountains and a minute later I can be in a little Greek village with Zorba or dive in the Mediterranean Sea with the character of The Big Blue. In the frenzy world, with an enormous amount of work to do and limited time to learn about things around me, the cinema often gives me the only chance to meet people and learn about the history of other cultures geographically and mentally distant from my world. That is why I love the cinema!
