Ladies and Gentlemen,

I would like to send my heartfelt congratulations and thanks to the filmmakers, organisers and numerous friends celebrating the 25th anniversary edition of the International Young Audience Film Festival Ale Kino! I am glad that it is in Poznań that such an interesting and fully professional event has developed to such a high standard.

The last 25 years mean a rich history of the Festival’s efforts to present and promote films for children and young people. Due to its high quality, interesting programme and ability to attract outstanding artists, Ale Kino! has gained recognition and strong position both in Poland and abroad. The event is a great meeting place for viewers, filmmakers, actors, teachers and organisers of cultural activities. Over the years, the Festival has developed a unique atmosphere and gained loyal audiences. The event is expanding year by year: it features more and more interesting and worthy films as well as numerous fringe events. As a result, Ale Kino! is now a good, recognisable brand.

The rich programme of this year’s Festival will give us a chance to see interesting Polish and foreign productions for children and young people, and also, which is very valuable, will present an opportunity to exchange ideas and discuss films aimed at young audiences.

I am convinced that cinemagoers of all ages will find something attractive at the Festival, all the more so because a number of the anniversary events have been prepared especially for this occasion.

I am really pleased to welcome to Poznań all the participants of the 25th International Young Audience Film Festival Ale Kino! and delighted to invite you all to this year’s film meetings.
